Evan"s Science Fair Project

Labels: , , ,

It’s that time of year again!  Science Fair projects.  Yippee.

Evan’s favorite toy is a bouncy ball.  So, he decided to turn that in to a project.

His goal was to test how high the ball bounces on different surfaces to see which one was the highest.

He predicted that granite would be the highest since it was the hardest.

He tested cement, grass, fake grass, asphalt, granite, tile, carpet, wood, glass, and dirt.

Evan found out that he was wrong.  Asphalt ended up being the winner.

We stayed up way too late because, of course, we procrastinated until the last minute.  Some comments were quite funny because we were a bit loopy.  In the acknowledgments section, he thanked the Easter Bunny for giving him the awesome bouncy ball.  Ha ha ha.  Another time, we were discussing things that were hard and how he would change them if he had to do the experiment again.  He said, “I found that it was hard keeping my hands up for a long time holding the measuring tape.  I just sucked it up and fought through the pain like a man.”  Ha ha ha.

I thought he did a great job, considering.
